Dedicating our lives to discovering the treatment and ultimate eradication of cancer is like an amazing race. Therefore, as we live our lives, why not redefine its fullness to help, educate and counsel friends and neighbors on cancer prevention and treatment possibilities. The Collegiate Cancer Council chapter at Prairie View A&M University established in the fall of 2006 was charted on this noble principle. It was founded with the intention of carrying out the focus of the National office, "the elimination of health disparities among ethnic minorities, the medically underserved and promoting cancer awareness among these populations regardless of socio-economic status." Our mission is to guide and inform our fellow students and local communities about cancer through informative lectures, seminars, and volunteer services. Our members will have the opportunity to grow as the organization grows and make their contributions towards the eradication of cancer. So, we welcome you to join us on this amazing race and endure with us to the completion of this ultimate bliss of a world without cancer.
